Medieval Carving of a Warrior Discovered in Russia

Archaeologists in western Russia have discovered a bone carving depicting a medieval warrior. Dating to the 12th or 13th century, it is exceptionally detailed, with one being able to see the folds of the cloak, the warrior’s muscles, and flowing hair.

Over 1,61,000 people affected by floods in Assam; landslide kills 5

Heavy flooding and landslides have caused significant devastation in Assam and Meghalaya. In Assam, floods have affected over 1.61 lakh people across 15 districts since Cyclone Remal hit in May, resulting in approximately 30 deaths. Karimganj district is the worst hit, with 1,52,133 people affected and extensive damage to crops and livestock. Rescue efforts are ongoing, with 5,114 people taking shelter in relief camps amid submerged villages.
