DRDO, Indian firms showcase Made in India weapons, tech at Paris defence show

Indian defence sector firms are showcasing their products at the EUROSATORY 2024 defence show in France. The exhibition features Indian products such as the Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher system and the LCA Tejas fighter aircraft. The India pavilion was inaugurated by Indian Ambassador to France, Jawed Ashraf. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) showcases 11 major defence technologies and products.

German researchers discovered a manuscript that contains the earliest record of Jesus Christ’s childhood. It initially stayed unnoticed in the Hamburg Carl Von Ossietzky State and University Library.  Previously, experts believed the piece of parchment was part of a mundane document, like a shopping list. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Varanasi, released the 17th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on Tuesday. The scheme aims to benefit more than 9.26 crore farmers with financial assistance totaling over Rs 20,000 crore. This initiative, launched in 2019, provides Rs 6,000 per year in three installments to land-holding farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
