Record number of stores selling illegal vapes closed since February

Liverpool City Council has now closed 15 stores selling illegal vapes since February 2024, as the Council’s operations targeting the sale of these devices continues. The amount of vapes seized from the stores since January 2024 is now over 18,000 – with the seized vapes having an estimated street value of around £220,000. Algae blooms prompt 2 warnings along parts of New Hampshire's Lake Winnipesaukee

New Hamsphire officials have issued two warnings of potentially dangerous algae blooms along parts of Lake Winnipesaukee, the state's largest lake. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services says it detected high concentrations of cyanobacteria, also known as blue-green algae, at Carry and Brewster beaches in Wolfeboro and at 19-Mile Bay and Tuftonboro Neck in Tuftonboro on Wednesday.
