AI Approach Elevates Plasma Performance and Stability Across Fusion Devices

Energy-daily.com

Los Angeles CA (SPX) Jun 06, 2024 - Achieving a sustained fusion reaction requires maintaining a high-performing plasma: one that is dense enough, hot enough, and confined long enough for fusion to take place. Researchers have encountered challenges in controlling plasmas, including bursts of energy escaping from the edge of a super-hot plasma, which negatively impact performance and damage reactor components.

A team led by engineers at Princeton and the U.S. Department of Energy's Princeton... Читать дальше...

Exotic black holes could be a byproduct of dark matter
