Cerebral cortex activation and functional connectivity during low-load resistance training with blood flow restriction: An fNIRS study

Plos.org

by Binbin Jia, Chennan Lv, Danyang Li, Wangang Lv

Despite accumulating evidence that blood flow restriction (BFR) training promotes muscle hypertrophy and strength gain, the underlying neurophysiological mechanisms have rarely been explored. The primary goal of this study is to investigate characteristics of cerebral cortex activity during BFR training under different pressure intensities. 24 males participated in 30% 1RM squat exercise, changes in oxygenated hemoglobin concentration (HbO) in the primary motor cortex (M1)... Plos.org

by Huan Shi, Yuan Hu, Lu Gan

The issue of urban resilience plays great significance and value for the sustainable development of cities, which has attracted increasing attention from scholars and governments, especially in the western region of China. Based on the Production-Living-Ecological (PLE) system, this study attempts to describe urban resilience by the combination system that contains with P,L,E subsystem. The integrated approach including FAHP-EM,GRA-TOPSIS, CCDM, and ODM is proposed... Читать дальше...

The safety of maxillary sinus floor elevation and the accuracy of implant placement using dynamic navigation

Plos.org

by Miaomiao Yang, Yongqing Ma, Wenli Han, Zhe Qu

Objective

To date, it remains a challenge to conduct maxillary sinus floor elevation (MSFE) owing to heterogeneity of anatomical structures and limited operative visibility of the maxillary sinus. The aim of this study is to investigate the safety of MSFE and the accuracy of implant placement using dynamic navigation.

Methods

Forty-two implants were placed in thirty-five patients requiring implantation in posterior maxilla with dynamic navigation. Читать дальше...

Understanding the log file data from educational and psychological computer-based testing: A scoping review protocol

Plos.org

by Guanyu Chen, Yan Liu, Yue Mao

With the advancement of computer-based testing, log file data has drawn considerable attention from researchers. Although emerging studies have begun to explore log file data, there is a gap in the exploitation of log file data for capturing and understanding participants’ cognitive processes. The debate on how to maximize insights from log file data has not yet reached a consensus. Therefore, we present this protocol for a scoping review that aims to characterize... Читать дальше...

Plos.org

by Xiao Zhao, Yuan Pan, Jun Tan, Hui Lv, Yu Wang, Da-xia Chen

Corydalis yanhusuo W.T. Wang is a traditional herb. Benzylisoquinoline alkaloids (BIAs) are the main pharmacological active ingredients that play an important role in sedation, relieving pain, promoting blood circulation, and inhibiting cancer cells. However, there are few studies on the biosynthetic pathway of benzylisoquinoline alkaloids in Corydalis yanhusuo, especially on some specific components, such as tetrahydropalmatine. Читать дальше...
