The University of Toledo has lost a very bright, caring and dedicated President. Dr. Gregory Postel has made many important decisions since becoming the president — none more important than saving the University of Toledo Medical Center, after his predecessor and the vast majority of the University’s Board of Trustees sought to sell, lease, or close UTMC. Dr. Postel wisely overruled the Board’s initiative to shut down UTMC, and that arm of the university is by far the most profitable since that wise decision of President Postel.
