Psaki revealed her plans as press secretary of the US president
Jen Psaki has revealed her plans as the US President’s press secretary. According to her, she will start restoring confidence in the White House, RIA Novosti reports.
“When the President asked me to serve in this position, we talked about the importance of bringing transparency and truth back to the briefing room,” Psaki said. According to her, restoring citizens’ trust will be the main topic for both the press service and the entire White House.
Joe Biden plans to appoint Jen Psaki, an advisor to his transition team, as press secretary last November.
Jen Psaki served as press secretary of the State Department from February 2013 to 2015, from 2009 to 2011, and from 2015 to 2017 worked as an assistant to the President of the United States (at the time this post was held by a Democrat Barack Obama) on communications. In Russia, Psaki rose to prominence for her controversial statements about the situation in Ukraine. Her scandalous statements were repeatedly criticized in the Russian media.
