Blizzard has made a change to how you might pay for World of Warcraft --going forward The only way to pay for Game Time is to buy it for 60 days. The 30. 90 days, and 180-day Game Time offerings are going off, just 60 days will remain. The game's subscription offers however, remain in the same place (more on the subject later).

These Game Time change is effective immediately, but any time you have bought previously will be available at the current price and duration. Going forward, the only option will be to purchase 60 consecutive days' Game Time for $30 USD.

Blizzard confirmed that it's making the changes following a "review of the services available across all currencies."

"We acknowledge that our players choose to spend their time with World of Warcraft , and we're committed to ensuring the game continues to provide players with a high quality entertainment," Blizzard said.

For WoW subscriptions that are not being changed, nothing has changed. You can still pay $15/month for one month, or $14/month when you sign up for three months. The price decreases to $13 per month if you sign up for six months.

WoW remains wildly popular, more than 15 years after it's launch. The brand grew in popularity by 2020 after the introduction of WoW Classic that is now a massive multiplayer by itself. The next expansion of the game, The Burning Crusade, is available to beta testers.

The popularity of WoW Classic has surprised even Blizzard which was thinking that the game could only appeal to a few core players. The executive producer John Hight told P2Pah: "It certainly impressed us."

He added: "When we put out Classic we weren't sure that this was going to be an buy WOTLK Gold issue or not? We had a thought that, 'Our core fans are really going to love this, so let's do this for them.' But then it quickly became a massive community composed of WoW players.
