Tuesday’s small quake will not delay the Big One in B.C., experts say

Tuesday evening’s earthquake was a relatively minor slippage from a very dynamic friction point about 60 kilometres below the Gulf Islands. At 11:39 p.m. Earthquakes Canada recorded a magnitude 4.7 quake just east of Vancouver Island, near Sidney.
