UP records 18 deaths in 24 hours due to excessive rainfall

Tragedy struck Uttar Pradesh as relentless rainfall led to the loss of at least 18 lives within a 24-hour span ending on July 18. The devastating incidents, reported across various districts including Chitrakoot, Mahoba, and Banda, were primarily attributed to drowning caused by the excessive rain. Snakebites also contributed to the fatalities, claiming two lives amidst the downpour.
