Bust UK councils allowed to sell public assets to cover increasing deficits

Labour Party-run Birmingham Council, covering a population of over 1 million, is imposing £300 million in cuts, and must sell off a staggering £1.25 billion of historic assets, land and property to repay a government bailout loan.
